Windows 7

Post by sueb »

I played around with the trial version on my old laptop which was windows vista. I now have a new laptop that runs on Windows 7. Before I purchase this, I just want to make sure that it does work with Windows 7.

Works for me - most of the time  I find it freezes up at random, so save often!

I have changed from vista to W7 and things are working great for the most part. agree you should save often but when mine stops working I close the program but it always gives me the opt to start back up where I left off when I reopen it. I also asked this question and was told I could run the scal2 in the xp mode. I just run it as is and I love this program. I also have design studio but never use it now that I have this one.

HI! I have the original SCAL and it works fine on my home computer which is Windows XP, my husband purchased me a netbook which has Windows 7, I installed the SCAL and it is not working on my netbook. It goes through all of the steps, I import my SVG files, go to cut and it says checking mat and then just stops. I am using the same cricut, does anyone know why this is happening? Do I have to upgrade to the SCAL2 to have it work with Windows 7?
Thanks!

I don't think you need to upgrade. Are you running in XP mode? Right click the SCAL icon scroll down to properties, click and then click the compatibility tab.

Do you have anything checked in your compatibility tab?
