Having fun making grown up doll cards!

Post by iamtutu »

I have been having so much fun with the New Arrival cart! I really love the paper dolls cart but I have not received it yet. In the meantime, I wanted to play dress up with a more grown up look. I made a few cuts by hand for variation, now I just have to work on new hairstyles! Bare with me as I am new...

Image
I made some cuts to the dress and hat to add color. Also, I added the "necklace" rink, and earrings from this really cute strung together pearl stickers I found. I added a larger one for the necklace.

I had a lot of fun with this one. I made some hand cuts so I could remove the flared bottoms as well as a deeper neckline (woot woo). I also cut the top of the shoes to create a more spring look and added the plastic pearls to the top of the shoe to match the rink and embellishment on the ribbon.

I wanted to create some modern lines so I made a thinner strap, squarer cut neckline, and trimmed the dress adding the belt, as well as capri's. The hair was cut down and the bangs cut straighter. The shoes were adjusted and I created a clutch.

I also wanted to add some "movement" so I put a foam dot under the left corner of the dress.

Anyway, I am racking my brain on how to create new outfits and hairstyles by hand...

Wow, those are adorable! Even if I had the cart mine wouldn't turn out as cute as yours. You did a really great job at tweaking the patterns. Thanks for sharing!
