Crashes when I paste...

My inkscape crashes every time I copy and paste. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still does it. I am at my wit's end. Can you offer any other suggestions.

I find that I need to be careful about how many programs I have open at once. If I have too many PS files open and try doing a lot in Ink, my computer runs out of resources really fast.

Have you pasted a lot of images in Ink? It doesn't use the clipboard like other programs, so it makes a png file every time you paste an image or make a bitmap copy. You might try searching for png images to get rid of any you don't need any more. Remember though, if you don't have that file, the bitmap image won't show in Inkscape since the image isn't actually in the svg file, just a link to the png image.

Also, some files made with other programs just don't work well in Inkscape.

Another thing to watch for is if the image you are trying to paste is huge. I was having that issue earlier until I realized that the image I was trying to use was roughly 20x20 inches.
