I would like to make a window decal or wall decal using SCAL. I was just wondering if anyone had ever done it before and if anyone had some tips or cautions for me.

Re: Cut vinyl?
Vinyl is super easy, because Cricuts are derived from vinyl cutters. The big thing to know is that you want to cut through just the vinyl and not the backing. Makes application sooo much easier. Settings to start with are 3-3-3 and adjust as needed for your machine. Here's a simple little video that explains the process well.

And just so you are warned, vinyl is very addictive, once you get started, it is hard to stop

Re: Cut vinyl?
In inkscape, select your image and then go to Object>Flip Horizontal.
Not sure in SCAL - I do most of my work in Inkscape.

Re: Cut vinyl?
Unless your design is simple you want to use Inkscape, because the flip feature in SCAL is goofy. To do it in SCAL, you have to type the letters in reverse order, then select flip shapes from the shape properties box and then do any welding, etc.
