THat ones makes alot of layers - so the image is really thick
how can you have one background page then just one layer of the others??
I'm ready to throw the whole computer away, this is driving me crazy - I can do the Disney carts, why isn't there a way of doing this like that?? Why do I need 5 to 6 layers with this program?? I hate thick pages & that is what this is having you do.

Here is another way to do this if you don't like the paint bucket tool. http://susanbluerobot.blogspot.com/2008 ... -base.html She uses more steps than necessary, but it is a good place to start.

I have also used a modified version of Dan99's technique in this tut for paper piecing files made from colored images. http://dan99.blogspot.com/2009/01/video ... o-svg.html

I tried the paintbucket tech., I think the problem I'm having is the clip art goes right to the edge of its white box so when I put the paint to go around it misses where those edges are

so if I put down the color box then add a white box then add the clip art - (going smaller each time) - would that get the paintbucker tech to work??

Reddy,
Your solution should work. Or you can just draw a white line across the edge, I think.
