OK . . . now I am getting lines through my cuts

ARGH! I just starting cutting with SCAL again. I had no trouble with it when I first downloaded, but now . . .
First it wouldn't cut at all, I fixed that problem
NOW, it's cutting a line through the words I am cutting. It is not the trial version. And, the line is different each time. I'm trying to cut a quote for my wall . . . the word is every. the first time i cut there was a line through the whole word connecting the first e to the y. the second time I cut it on paper and it was perfect. the third time it cut a line through the v and the second e. what is going on?

Post your SVG file and I will take a look at it. There might something hidden in the file.

are you using an .svg or .scut file? or are you just using a particular font to type the word with?
