Need M&M's Candy for Birthday Card

Post by papasue »

Hi, My granddaughter has asked for personalized M&M's for her birthday so I tried to use Inkscape and failed miserably in trying to make a 3D MM. I'm sure I saw something about how to do it but can't find it again.

I thought I'd make the card round in the shape of an MM and then scut out some more to scatter around.

Anyone got one?

Thanks,

Papasue

Shirl, worked for me too!

Thanks a bunch.

I really need to work more with Inkscape. I can design but whenever I import to scal the window is blank. I think there is some arcane object/path something or other I'm missing.

Appreciate your time.

All I did was do a google seach in images for "brown m&m"...I figured brown would trace better...Found one and saved it. Opened it up in inkscape...clicked path>object to path. Then path again,to trace bitmap, then another window opens. Click update then OK & close the window....Then go to view and then display>outline! VERY EASY! I couldn't do a thing in inkscape 2 weeks ago! But everyone here is so helpful! I learned EVERYTHING here, just asking questions....I'm OK at doing SIMPLE images..Not so hot with the detailed images!

Thanks! It is early morning and I've had my coffee and my head is clear so I think I'll give it a try with your instructions. I've got 4 more days until I have to have the card.

Thanks again

If you still need to do m and m's, there is a font called candy bits. Search the web for a free download. You can use paint to modify it if you need to.
