glass bock boy dog fishing Broome A. coast

Post by btails »

I was having withdrawals not being able to check in to see all the great things you all had to share in over a week...here is my first glass block....without the light the picture doesn't show up very good and my lights haven't come in yet so just stuck 35 red xmas lights inside ...I used a picture of Broome Austrailia coast line...we lived 160 miles south of there in 65...one of the most gorgeous places in the world...along with all the sharks was still gorgeous...thanks Christine !!!!! and all of you !!!! When I was at Joann's craft store the other day I saw they had the glass blocks in for $14.99 and $19.99. Guess what I am using my 40% off coupon for?

Beautiful! I love it! TFS!! Where did you order the lights from? I've done several G/Blocks but not w/ lights.
My husband cut my 1st glass block last night- 2" hole. Did you obscure your glass?

I got my lights on line from The All American Christmas Company....I sprayed lots of glass frosting by Krylon spray paint...way to much trouble ...so what I have been doing is taking the file or photo into Print Shop and cropping it to an 7 x 7 inch and then putting picture of the coast line..since I saved the boy dog fishing file or exported bitmat from inkscape which made it a png file it left the portion of the picture with out the boy dog trees, blank so you can sit the picture you want onto another picture ....as I did with the coastline of Broome A......you can move it around and get the sunlite where you want it....any way then I printed it out on transparency paper by Avery # 8665( sticky backing) , then stuck it to regular cardstock....now I don't have to frost the glass....except just a touch on the sides of the blocks where the paint already on the blocks are....I'll help anyway I can..just let me know...Judy
