Cant open svg files in SCAL

I download svg files and hit open with SCAL. Well the Scal program opens but nothing is in there. So I export to LIb it up and when i try to save it wont, I just cant figure out what Im doing wrong....Is my question clear or cloudy...

You import svg files into SCAL.

When you download the files, both .scut and .svg, they have to be saved first. There is an option to Open or Save when you click on a file and you have to save the file. Then you open SCAL and File>Import SVG.
