traced photos in inkscape for this layout.

Post by lovebeingamom »

I had originally put these pictures in another area to answer a question, then when looking at the original question I realized my answer didn't help that person at all....SSSOOO...I deleted it and thought I'd share here.
I started with my pictures (they are both on the pages that I finshed), changed them to bitmap format in my photo program, then imported to ink and did the trace, reduce/delete nodes thing and so on...I don't know all the steps off hand, but I know there are tutorials out there.
Anyhow, these are my finished pages and I thought they were kind of fun.
Hope this helps inspire someone, it wasn't as hard as it originally seemed with all the tutorials and people out there to answer questions!
Thanks guys and gals!!!!!

p.s. my son 'catching air' was only three at the time...

What a great layout!!! Thanks for sharing your tip, I hadn't thought of doing that with my own photos, apart from one of Ayers Rock!!

Thanks,
Mel
