It's been a LONG time since I've been on the forums because life takes over sometimes! BUT, I used to use the cricut products and eventually bought a Cameo. Can I use my SCAL with the Cameo? How do I get the SCAL software to recognize the Cameo as a Printer?
Or, is there an easier way to cut my saved SVG files on the Cameo?
Thanks for any help!

Re: SCAL2 and Cameo
You have several options:
1) because you have SCAL2, you are able to download and use SCAL3 for FREE. SCAL3 is compatible with the Cameo. You just need your software registration code. Or email SCAL Support. You can run both SCAL2 and SCAL3 on your computer at the same time.
2) you can use the Sil Studio (the free version) with your SVG files, but you have to go a few steps. You would need to first convert the SVG file to a DXF file. To do that you need Inkscape (a free program) and then just open the svg file, and do a File/Save as/ and choose the dxf file extension. When you open the Sil Studio software, and do a File/Open, you need to change the extension that the software is looking for to dxf.... and the file will open.
3) OR you could upgrade the Sil Studio software to the Sil Studio Designer Edtion, for about $30-$50, and be able to open SVG files directly into the SSDE software.
