Help with nodes

Tried finding this within the forum, perhaps I just don't know what to search for.

Trying to weld these shapes, or join the nodes so it doesn't cut the line through. Tried union but that didn't work. What do I need to do?

Intersection?

Try Path - Union to join them together.

Unfortunately SCAL doesn't let you use Union when you only have one Path. Just use the node tool to delete the extra nodes. HTH
