Need help with trace settings in SCAL2
Need help with trace settings in SCAL2
I was watching a tut on tracing in SCAL2 and it showed more settings that what I have. Mine doesn't show "Mode" or "Max Colors". So my question is: how do I get those to show up under my settings or is there another way to trace a multi colored pic and make into layers to cut? I hope this makes sense.

Try going to the Basics and Trace on this page of tuts. Or, if you click on your START and All Programs and craftedge and Sure Cuts Alot2 and Help...there is also a written section under Basics about Trace.
Very basically, you have a .jpg on your desktop. You open scal2 and go to File and Trace and browse for the picture. You find the picture and I usually only change the top number to something between 50(if it is not good...which many times it is fine)and 90 and hit okay...the outline will now be on the mat. You go to Edit Select All and then Object and Break apart, and then grab the pieces and move them where you want them on the mat for cutting. Color you change by clicking on the piece in the layers panel and a color palette pops open to change and click ok. The little rectangle on the left in the layers panel...if you click on that another palette will open to change the outline color.
But, see these other tutorials, also. HTH
