I am having the hardest time wrapping my brain around this lol! Ok, now I tried with the snowflakes touching the edge and that didn't work, so I moved them in...which worked but just looks like a stencil or like a rectangle....maybe lace is better done in inkscape?

Umm, ok I think I understand but let me ask this then, lets say I'm making the lace and I'm only wanting half of a snowflake along the edge...anyway to do that or it needs to be the whole entire snowflake in there?

I'm a total newbie to scal and I've been reading tutorials etc. I've figured out basic welding, as in a word but I'm wanting to make some lace (like KI memories) and I've designed it, clicked "weld" for everything but when I go to cut it out it only cuts what is outside of the rectangle. F...
