I am trying to make a scut of the attached photo. I have tried to create using my fonts and a basic SCAL swirl. The problem either the swirl is not connecting with the lower edge of the letters the swirl covers too much of the letters. I don't want the letters to follow the curve of the swirl but ra...

When I trace in SCAL, the line beneath the two swirls displays along with the two swirls. How to I eliminate the line?
I know in this forum the line only looks like a spell check issue but when the png is traced in SCAL it displays as a solid line.

Suggestions??
