Re: Are there any blocking problems with latest DS update?

Hi Jasen: Who knows why they didn't show up. They were on my trial version as that is the only version I have -- I don't own a full working version of DS and don't plan to since I only own a couple cartridges and much prefer using SCAL for my designs. I only d/l the most recent update of DS because ...

Re: Are there any blocking problems with latest DS update?

Jasen:

I downloaded the most recent DS a couple weeks ago and it has Winter Woodland and Everyday Paper Dolls on it. Maybe you are looking in the wrong sections?

Re: Are there any blocking problems with latest DS update?

Hi - not sure if we're talking the same thing or not - but I updated my trial version of the DS software, which put the newest cartridges in the program, a couple weeks ago and have not had any problems using the Cricut. The version DS I have is 1.0.21104.0 which I believe is the current download av...

Re: Is there an easier way to rotate?

Hi Lynndee:

If you want to rotate by a specific number of degrees go to the top of the page and click on OBJECT / Transform / Rotate. That will open up a menu which will allow you to insert the number of degrees you'd like to rotate the object.

Re: Ability to Toggle between Stacked Objects

Hi: I agree that being able to lock layers does help for moving around objects that are stacked on top of each other IF they are on different layers. However, it would also be nice to have a shortcut command that would make it easy to toggle between stacked objects that are on the same layer. For in...

Re: Few ques.

Hi Jennie: I don't know if SCA1 is still available, but just because you have the smaller Cricut is not a good reason to go with the older program. Scal 2 is a better program with more features to offer than Scal 1. Additionally, scut files created in SCAL2 can not be opened in SCAL1. Therefore you ...

Re: Score Lines

Hi - I use Inkscape to add scores lines - very easy to do. Then I save the score lines as a separate .svg so that I can import it into SCAL as a separate layer. Then to "cut" the score lines, I put the depth of my blade to 1 and the pressure to 1 (or 2 depending on the sharpness of the bla...

Re: Multiple Pages, etc

Hi: Like Jasen mentioned, I use the Layers function to create separate "pages." I put several design parts in the same design, but on different layers. Then when I go to cut, I just hide the layers that I don't want to cut and keep visible the layer(s) that I do want to cut. For example, I...
