need help converting jpg to svg....i traced bitmap in inkscape and nothing appeared in the preview screen....i also ungroup the image and saved it as a svg file and still nothing appearded when i opened it in scal....please help

I HAVE A PDF IMAGE THAT I HAVE OPENED UP IN INKSCAPE BUT WHEN I DO TRACE BIT MAP IT DOESN'T SHOW UP IN THE LITTLE BOX. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I AM DOING WRONG PLZ....?

HOLY CRAP!!! That was fast! Thank you sooooo much! What did you do? This Inkscape thing is sooo confusing for me. I pulled it up in Inkscape then went to Path/Trace Bitmap but it didn't show up in the box. What did you do different?
