Re: THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!

I guess I do more steps than necessary but it works and I am not going to tempt fate LOL LOL LOL. I don't have scal2 so I have to do the work in photoshop. When I turn the image black it always draws perfectly in Inkscape but again the key is to make sure to accept the SECOND size in Inkscape or the...

Re: Hinge method for lining up printouts

That is really a great idea to be able to place the graphic right on, I will be using that tip for sure!!! I wanted to watch your video but it won't come up. I just see a box and a blank page.

A VERY INTRICATE CUT USING METHODS POSTED HERE

I wanted to share this cut I made this morning of my daughter, yes, she is a professional ballet dancer. :D Proud Mom. Anyway, using the tutorial I shared below, (POST THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!) I was able to make this very intricate cut. The original cut that I used to extract my daughter had a the...

Re: THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!

I hear ya, a "duh" moment. I can't take credit for this however, it was one of the members of this forum pennsylvaniakate's post that got me started on this. I was having major problems with the sizing issue and she told me that you just kind of have to wing it. I thought well, maybe I cou...

Re: THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!

Congrats!!!! Isn't this great? I am going nuts making little graphics and having so much fun. The room is full of glitter and rhinestones, having too much fun LOL. I have a mat that is on it's last legs, it sticks, but not very well so I am able to pretty much lift up the paper off the mat where I n...

Re: THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!

I printed the image from Microsoft Publisher. I guess it doesn't matter where you print it from but I just usually do it from there. If you want to print it from Photoshop, you could do that also and even change the colors of the graphic if you need something to match a layout. I am glad you underst...

Re: THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!

Ok, here it is. I made this bird from a graphic I found at http://scrapandtubes.blogspot.com/2009/09/freebie-moment-de-detente-kit-personal.html This was a free kit from the digi free site I posted about. I decided to cut the bird and this is how it came out. It is almost perfect, the cuts are withi...

THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!

Thanks to pennsylvaniakate for her hard work in figuring out how to cut a printed graphic with SCAL and Cricut. I tried her method but was having a problem with getting the size just perfect until I realized that the problem is with Inkscape, not really a problem but something that occurs when you a...

Positioning SCAL

I looked thorough the forum and didn't see this but please forgive me if it's here and I missed it. When you lay out something in SCAL how do you get the cutting blade to begin where you want it to? With the cartridges, you would move the blade to the start of the color you want to cut, but I am not...
