I just got my SCAL2. I have cut my letters out and now need to cut out mats or shadows for behind them. Do I need to increase the size of the font if I click on the shadow button, or will it automatically make it larger? Just like the cricut does when you press the shadow button. Please help. Thanks...

I have a Cricut machine and just now found out about the SCAL. I was going to purchase it but found out it is no longer available for the Cricut machine. I'm looking for a new cutting system but don't really know much about any of them. Does anyone have any suggestions on which one would be the best...
