ISO Rainboot svg
Hi everyone,
I'm in need of an svg file for a tall pair of rain boots. Would love polka dots but I can work with plain boots. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me.

Windows Vista
I just read that scal isn't supposed to work that well with Vista and you are supposed to run in XP mode if you have Vista. First of all is this true? If so, how do you go about running in XP for SCAL, is that even possible. I have been using scal with Vista and it does work, but freezes a LOT and I...

Re: shadow doesn't work?
Thanks for your responses. I read further messages on this after I posted. Glad it's not just me. I'll need to plan for more time if I want shadows or just use a chunkier font. I also read using a techinique in inkscape might work. I'll have to try it out.

Ok, Finally got to weld a word trying to make a Thank You card. Supposed to be verrry simple right? Wrong. Typed and welded word in SCAL previewed and all was well. Decided to use shadow all was much better. Tried to cut at slow speed went so slow and paper moved. Upped the speed tried again. (of co...

simple questions
How/can you control speed from within scal. Does machine override? Whenever I cut from SCAL blade returns to upper corner, even if I have manually moved it to a different spot on the mat, anyway to avoid this? SCAL stopped working numerous times while I was trying it out and I had to restart it. (It...

.scut or.svg
OK I'll probably get dumb question of the week award here. What is the difference between .scut and .svg files? Do they both work in SCAL or is one for inkscape? Do you create it in inksape? Is it a project in SCAL that you save? I havn't been able to get software until tomorrow so I'm just trying t...
