Yes, the despeckle is reportedly fixed. There is an update to the update notes on the download page thingy... Sadly, not only is my issue not fixed, but another introduced. If I have a few objects on the mat to cut, it appears that unless I use WYSIWYG it does not cut them in their relative position...

You can also get machines that will auto sew embroidery pretty much from an SVG. I have a Janome which is old now but still works, Brother have embroidery machines too. Snag is they are pricey! So unless you win the lottery or find one going cheap..
